Fair Maiden

Warner corner!!!

Shell really is a beauty, isn't she?  Caitlin's cloths just seem like they were custom made for Shell and her wonderment.

So, at your wedding that is happening right now, I will be one of the lucky bridesmaids... AND, because you will be a cool bride, I will get to choose what I wear. Soooooo, here are my right now,  Mrs. Jessica Warner  is getting married this very minute bridesmaid choices:

channeling a little bit of you, a little bit of me:
because everyone knows that I would choose a romper over a dress any day.

Adorable and sweet, Samantha Pleet:

If you had a black tie evening affair:
 Like whoa. Sexy Romperville, USA.

And if I had to wear a dress, I really like the one on the left:

these actually came up when I googled "bridesmaids dresses". Pleasantly surprised.

As the bride, you know you should buy all your maidens jewelry. I choose these:
 And THESE!!!!:

Rubies! Diamonds! Crows feet!!!! Both by Wouter & Hendrix. You should really check out there stuff. It's all so organic and just plain old pretty.

Last nights Jock Jam Dance Party Volume 10 was great, let's do it again soon.

so yasmin,

the other day, refinery 29 did a little number on unconventional wedding dress options and i was all like, "please. first of all, yeah, i wouldn't wear a wedding dress, but i certainly wouldn't wear one of these either." so i set about today to do a better job than the one they did. however, i got sidelined and i got all girly and started thinking about what-if it was my wedding and my dress... and you know how at beacons we're always saying "ok, if i had to get married today, this would be the dress i would wear..."
anyway, it turns out i can look at dresses for me for hours. not that that's a surprise. but here are a few non-wedding dresses, that if i had to get married today, i might just wear...

totally spur of the moment, at the court house, dinner in williamsburg afterward:

i should be on my 10th marriage by now. so if it was second wedding, maybe this.
maybe at the boathouse? maybe at a country club?
brunch wedding. red tulips.

if i ever had a real wedding, i would wear this dress.
totally magical. giant bouquet of red flowers:

to go with my dream mociun (engagement) ring, a really lovely mociun dress. white daisies and tulips and hydrangea (like she's already holding!). sunset wedding on the beach with 10 0r 11 friends, margaritas afterwards:

if i ever meet a really rich guy and we get married. but i'd still wear crown of real flowers in my hair. bodkin is one of the neatest lines ever.

j crew dress. it's really dreamy. i'd put straps on it and wear a comb of ban. do flowers in my hair.

this is a for real for real for real top-contender. i am in love with this dress. it's too good for me.

ok. IF I HAD TO GET MARRIED TODAY, if i'm playing that game, this would be the dress. or maybe now it would be the last dress i showed you. now i'm confused. this dress is beautiful. i'd carry a million peonies.

this yellow dress is the dress i wore to my crazy huge new years party 2 years ago. it's so old and, after such crazy partying, it's now so so so delicate. but i have it tucked away in a box just in case, for whatever reason, i want to have it remade for me in white or something. WHAT!? i'm just saying, it's one of my favorite things i have ever put on.

ok. enough of this. i'm going to go play some football and hit on some men and drink a beer and not do my laundry. too girly.

love ya. mean it.

dearest steak dinette,

(ha!) (wink.)

thinking more about the bnb of my dreams.

here are some elements that could make an airy guest room (think big windows (curtains floating in an afternoon breeze) that overlook hills and trees and cows and my garden) all the more wonderful and romantic...

if this was painted a really nice flat white. queen sized of course...

via of paper and things, imagine these tom moglu prints in a series, on old white walls, big and just the slightest slightest bit not smooth:

dark or light wood floors. giant old planks either way:

i saw this for the first time in the window at ugly luggage. my new favorite chair. the ironrite health chair.

!!!

bedside table-wise:

i saw these on all the mountains. reclaimed drawers/ new structures.
i think they are so perfect.

beautiful bedspreads, no?

(ok, i think this is actually an indian sarong, so maybe it would have to be used elsewhere...)

the hippie in me LOVES this as a bedspread:

that's it for now...emma's up from her nap. i'm ready for mine, unfortunately.

yasmin.

what the h?! is that a little sartorialist baby? good gosh. well, i WOULD LOVE to dress you exactly like that and then take you on a date and give you flowers and have a tom collins and mix everything up. that would be ecstatic. speaking of dates, i went on a friend date with my friend jen last night to what was accidentally probably the most romantic spot i've ever been. have you been to DOC on wythe and north 7th? it's delicious (and expensive-- i can't even say aloud how much the bill was...) and so atmospheric.
anyway, all this romance has got me thinking about ceramics, which if i've said it once, i've said it 100 times, are the sexiest of the design arts. i love them-- i love the process-- i love the rustic refinement. it's like eating cake with your hands-- it's wonderful.

recently, i was introduced to the work of alex johnson, who is a friend of a friend of a friend. i think this stuff is really incredible and unique:

and then, once i was looking at alex johnson's stuff, i found myself just looking for more and more... these are by various other ceramicists:

sigh!!!!!!
