dear yasmin,

this is actually not really to you. it's really for a young man named andy out there in the real world somewhere. however, i'm extremely pleased to be sharing it with you as well.

it's for andy, it's for you, it's for me, it's for here's hopin'...

the following things have been on my mind as of late:

i like the mix of textures and that little ceiling curve here:



so, i'm thinking of all these things and then i walk into a place and, well, imagine a space that kinda feels like a canal barge:


and it has this floor:



and this is the wainscoting:

and there's a plaster treatment on the walls that resembles this-- but mostly white, far more subtle... but this kind of feeling:



and there is bar that is black with a white marble top (or maybe red with white marble if the wainscoting and floor are the more neutral pairing)...

and there are thonet chairs and stools and long black banquet and maybe wooden tables or black tables or maybe red lacquer tables:







and these lights hang down all over the place:






and there are succulents and cacti in all the windows...



and the ceiling is slightly vaulted and maybe even black as well (not really this but i love this and that ceiling is so buckminster fuller chic):


and there is the most wonderful chalkboard:


and the back yard looks like this....


that could be a nice place to visit, no?
